Safari 3 Beta fails to install – Fix / Hack! Error – "You cannot install Safari 3 Beta on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements….

Saw WWDC 2007 keynote and tried installing Safari 3 Beta on my Macbook (Mac OS X 10.4.9) only to see that it behaves rather weird,it doesn’t show up, after deleting and trying to reinstall Safari 3 Beta, all I get is “You cannot install Safari 3 Beta on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update.”

I dint’ give up,searched for solutions online and found none Then tried installing the Safari3BetaUninstall.pkg without even installing the Safari3Beta.pkg!! It asked for a restart and voila, I see Safari loading to its full glory!! Enjoy Safari and all the new features!!

Free Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 Windows Mobiles

Voice Command is a real stunner as it processes sound inuts in real time,aint’ it?I sorta tweaked and played with it in this video. You can download it for free from XDA Devs. I installed Voice Command 1.6 US on a WM6 HTC 8125. Voice Command is improving on agreater scale.It can now read SMS,Calendar appointments and even open applications for yo – everything instantly!!

DeepFish from Microsoft and Minimo 0.2 from Mozilla released!

Microsoft’s Labs unveils a new product ‘DeepFish‘ which renders the web pages optimized for the small screens,the way ThunderHawk does.Dont’ know why they mimicked ThunderHawk but all in all its released for testing recently.On the other hand, Minimo 0.2 was released after a long gap and even the latest Mozilla release doesnt’ react properly on my WM6 device. HTC Wizard (8125) and WM6 – A Perfect Combination!

Have been using Windows Mobile 6 on my device(s) HTC Hermes (8525) and HTC Wizard (8125);thanks to http://xda-developers.com for their support. Windows Mobile 6 on Hermes is not a finished product but Wizard rocks with WM6 installed on it! Installing WM6 on Hermes is a piece of cake whereas Wizard needs a guide to be followed -Strictly I tried Xplore 1.1 version of WM6.

Orkut on your Windows Mobile Phones browsers

Orkut has been part of daily lives for many – thanx to Google for a clean looking interface wherein we can scrap our buddies in a giffy! Orkut is complicated for our mobile browsers owing to its heavy use of Javascript which our mobile phones in-built browsers are not ready yet.I sorta stumbled on a work around though.Have attached the snapshots from my Typhoon,applies to other phones as well.Have a gr8 time orkutting!

I should have posted this long back but took sometime settling down in the U.S! Better late than never,Windows Live Search really amazed me! missing sync for cingular 8525 (wm5 devices) and macbook

well,I bought a macbook recently and it might sound weird using a Windows Pocket PC and macbook as primary gadgets – cos they r not friendly to each other

while I was searching for a solution,I found missing sync – downloaded a 14 day trial from macupdate.com
